IMPACTO E EFICIÊNCIA DA OZONIOTERAPIA NA REPARAÇÃO TECIDUAL: PROPRIEDADES BIOLÓGICAS, MECANISMOS DE AÇÃO E APLICAÇÕES CLÍNICAS

A ozonioterapia é uma modalidade terapêutica que utiliza o ozônio sistemicamente ou de forma tópica para o tratamento de diversas afecções. A possibilidade de modulação imunoinflamatória e estimuladora do metabolismo celular, além de suas características antimicrobianas, antivirais, anti-parasitárias, anti-fúngicas tornam a terapia com ozônio atrativa tanto para o campo da Medicina quanto para a Odontologia. Desta forma, o objetivo desta revisão narrativa foi abordar e esclarecer as propriedades biológicas, os mecanismos de ação e as principais aplicações clínicas do ozônio e sua real eficácia, apontando as limitações de uso. Conclui-se que a ozonioterapia é uma abordagem coadjuvante eficaz e promissora, porém ainda existe necessidade de desenvolvimento de protocolos específicos, assim como o esclarecimento do seu uso em determinadas áreas.
